Troop 48 was founded in 2007 by a group of long-time Scouters dedicated to the principals of the Scout Law and Scout Oath. With more than 200 years of volunteer service to the Boy Scouts these Scouters envisioned a Troop where leaders would be made and friendships would last a lifetime...and boy would we have fun along the way.
Starting with 18 scouts in 2007 raging in age from 11 to 18, the troop remains steady with a group of 30 to 40 boys. There are 10 full-time Scout leaders and many fathers and mothers in our very active Troop Committee lending support and encouragement to every aspect of the program.
The Troop is chartered by Doylestown Presbyterian Church at the corner of Church and Mechanics Streets in Doylestown PA. Doylestown Presbyterian Church has chartered a Boy Scout troop since 1940 and a Cub Scout Pack for nearly as long. The Church provides the troop with a meeting room, storage space and plenty of room to learn and play. Stop by on a Tuesday night to see the Troop in action. Just listen for the dull roar coming from Andrews Hall!
